How do we work with agricultural operations?

Agricultural activities and livestock grazing are allowed in many circumstances within an easement or right-of-way, and these activities often continue uninterrupted after a power line is constructed or other equipment is installed. However, they must not interfere with the safe operation of transmission lines, block access for maintenance or exceed height limits in the area. All of these conditions are laid out in the property easement agreement.

Landowners should contact their right-of-way or real estate representative before beginning any new agricultural activities within easements or right-of-way areas to ensure it meets safety standards and does not interfere with utility operations.
